The Friends of Triangle Park Fall Fundraiser was hosted at Brauhaus Schmitz on Dec. 8th, and, by all accounts, it was A SUCCESS!!! More than 50 park supporters joined us to celebrate all that we've accomplished in 2009 and to provide well wishes for 2010. The generous donations we received will ensure that we can continue to beautify the park through the winter months and into the spring. Warm thanks to all who attended and the local businesses that contributed raffle prizes ... not many went home from this fundraiser empty-handed. Raffle prizes were donated by:
>> Beau Monde
>> Bistrot La Minette
>> Cochon
>> Cohen’s Hardware
>> Golosa Chocolate Bar & Dessert Lounge
>> Goldstein’s Clothing
>> Green Village Cleaners - 215.467.0404
>> Little Fish
>> Napoli Pizza
>> Victory Brewing Co
If you weren't able to make it to our Fall Fundraiser, you can still make contribution via PayPal or a major credit card by clicking on the "DONATE" link below. Also, please keep an eye out for news on our Spring Fundraiser, which we will announce when the winter frost begins to thaw. As always, we very much appreciate your continued support.
The green space that the Friends of Triangle Park are working to develop is located at the intersection of Christian Street, 6th Street, and Passyunk Avenue on the border of the Bella Vista and Queen Village neighborhoods in Philadelphia, PA.
This land is NOT an official city park. It is privately owned. It is our mission to facilitate the acquisition of the land by the City of Philadelphia so that it can become a park. We need your support to make this happen, so GET INVOLVED!
Our group of supporters have worked very hard over the last year and a half to turn the triangular lot into place where flowers and trees now prosper, but our efforts are just beginning. We need your help to tell your friends, neighbors, and local officials that you do not want this space to return to a vacant trash strewn lot, and you want the space to be aquired by the city.
